Batball Open East Edition launched the Batball Program in Soroti City on December 10th and 11th, 2022. This two-day tournament showcased under-19 talent from the Eastern region in a 10-over-a-side round-robin format. Held as part of the 'Bowling out Gender-Based Violence' campaign, it concluded with the formation of the Eastern Buffaloes from the top four teams, who represented the region in Batball  2023. 

Following the East Edition, the Batball Open Nile Edition took place a week later, continuing the Batball Program's momentum. Held under the social campaign #BowlingOutTeenagePregnancies, and played in a 10-over-a-side round-robin format. The tournament highlighted under-19 talent from the Nile region and concluded with the formation of the Nile Leopards, who represented the region at Batball X 2023. 

On March 4th and 5th, 2023, the Batball Open North Edition was hosted at St. Joseph Layibi College in Gulu City. Mirroring the format of previous Opens, this event featured a 10-over-a-side round-robin competition. Held under the campaign #BowlingOutGenderBasedViolence, it highlighted the region’s under-19 talent and culminated in the formation of the Northern Elephants, who went on to represent the Northern region at Batball X 2023

From March 18th to 19th, 2023, the Batball Open Central Edition unfolded at the picturesque Lakeside Oval in Entebbe, held under the social cause #FightingAgainstAIDS. Maintaining the familiar 10-over-a-side round-robin format, this event spotlighted emerging cricket talent from the Central region. The competition concluded with the formation of the Central Rhinos, who advanced to Batball X as one of the competing teams 

Concluding the 2022/23 Batball Open season, the West Edition was hosted at Serenity Oval in Kammengo on a backdrop of the social cause #KeepingPersonalHygiene. This final tournament maintained the 10-over-a-side round-robin format, featuring under-19 talent from the Western region. The competition ended with the formation of the Western Bulls, who represented their region at Batball X 2023

The first edition of Batball X took place from August 15th to 20th, 2024. 5 regional teams from Uganda and one invitational team competed in Kampala and Jinja. Each region fielded their best squads, with teams named after local animals. Top players from this edition will have the opportunity to advance to Batball Maxx, the ultimate stage in our cricket pathway.
