OUR VISION

Our vision is to establish BATBALL as the most comprehensive talent identification and capacity-building platform for cricket in any ICC Associate Member nation. By offering season-on-season competitions and a structured pathway, we aim to provide young cricketers with consistent opportunities for development and growth, both locally and internationally.

Through this program, we not only identify talent but also nurture it, equipping players with the skills and exposure needed to excel at the highest levels. Our goal is to see these athletes represent their national teams and compete in global franchise tournaments, fostering a new generation of cricketers who will elevate the sport within Uganda and across the world.

Our Story

In East Africa, particularly Uganda, the future belongs to its youth—over 70% of the population is below the age of 17. These young people possess a boundless energy, athleticism, and burning desire to make their mark. Recognizing this immense potential, BATBALL was born as a bold initiative to channel that passion through the sport of cricket.

A collaboration between the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) and BATBALL Uganda Limited, BATBALL is not just another cricket program. It's a talent identification pathway designed to give youngsters—starting as early as 9 and into their late teens—the opportunity to showcase their abilities. Whether they play in the streets or on local pitches, the goal is simple: to create a meritocratic system where talent is identified, nurtured, and rewarded.

While many members of both UCA and BATBALL Uganda Limited played pivotal roles in shaping this initiative, the real inspiration has always been the youth of Uganda. BATBALL is here to create a future where young cricketers can dream of representing their nation on the world stage.
